Unshakeable Faith, No Matter What!

image1As I looked at His word and meditate on His promises, it came to me in a different way: “no matter…what!?!”

It’s easy to say that phrase in connection to our relationship with God as long as everything is going well. When finances are fine, relationships are thriving, no one is sick and life seems easy, we say, “yes, no matter what.”

But, what about days of distress? What about those days you can barely see pass your hand? You ask where do my help come from? What do we say when every day seems to bring a new burden, bad news and unexpected trouble? How do we live when we’re in a position like Paul?

He was beaten, thrown in prison, separated from everyone he loved, facing persecution and on trial for his faith. Our situations seem light and incomparable to this, but they’re still real. We still have the same decision to make. We can succumb to our circumstances, being tossed to and fro, or we can choose to stand with Paul and say, “no matter what!”

No matter what happens, where I’m sent, what He asks or what I face, I will choose Him. I will trust Him. I will continue to believe He’s always in control.

Set yourself to be steadfast. Press into the grace of God through the help of the Holy Spirit and choose to follow hard after Him—no matter what!

From Sorrow and Pain to Grace and Glory

From Sorrow and Pain to Grace and Glory!

Have you ever wondered about the things that happened in your life? Maybe you have even questioned God or compared His love for you with someone else life.

Or how many times have we in our fleshly, unrighteously, unbeknowingly, complained about what is going on in our lives. As the Word says, we have to experience these trials to make us stronger and depend on Him.

To some, it doesn’t make a  lot of sense especially when you live in the Valley of Humiliation. However, when you trust in Him with every part of our lives; your trails start to make sense.  So take a  look back over  your life, and you can see that (unbeknowingly) these events have been choreographed and are pointed towards the source. What we think to be failures and bad mistakes, are actually composed to assemble us into the person we were meant to be. Let’s look at it from God’s eyes or from the Word of God, we were created, specifically for a certain task- all those failures and mistakes made us the perfect candidates. It has not been through our own strength that has orchestrated the events in our lives, it has been through God, who has made a perfect plan for us.

Our lives are like a tree: events that happen, like leaves, are all connected by branches, which are yet again linked to more branches, although the leaves are separate. The branches are connected to the trunk and roots which cement the tree in the ground. God is like the roots of our lives, supplying us with water and minerals and keeping us where we need to be. Yet growing, weaving between the soil, stones and other roots to provide the best nutrients for us.

We can only truly understand this if we are  drinking water from the living stream of life and  we have to make sure our roots are planted in the good soil ( the Word of God)

God has coordinated the events in our lives so that they link together, like leaves on a tree, but are separate in their own right . The leaves bring vital experience to us and endow us with what we need to grow as a person.

The truth is we wouldn’t be here, if it wasn’t for God. And I know that without Him, we would have no future.

Let me encourage you today my friend, to trust in the One that made you and me, to be our guard, our defender and our redeemer and to be our best friend.

Heavenly Father, Teach us to have joy in every situation we are in. May we never complain when discontentment comes knocking at our front door but that we deny it food to survive. HOWEVER, we must understand to go to the high places we have to go in the valley first. He is working it out for our good, so He can use us.

The Importance of Cheefulness

2Corinthains 13:11(NKJV)11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love sand peace will be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:11 (NASB)11 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Paul now ends his 2nd letter to the church of Corinth with an exhortation on how to live. They are to rejoice! And Paul doesn’t say “When things are good”-but rather just “Rejoice!” Paul also states that they are to be made “complete” or “mature”. They are to be growing and maturing in their faith. They are also to be comforted, or to “take comfort” that they are living in joy and maturing spiritually. Paul also says that they are to be like-minded, which can only take place when believers fix their hearts upon the Lord. The end result of being like-minded produces peace between man and God and among men. Paul says they were to live in peace. Literally they were to dwell in the state of peace which can only come from God via His methods – as Paul states within this verse. The fruit of the Spirit is made manifest when believers obey God’s Word. God’s love and peace is with all who live in obedience.

My life:

Today I must rejoice in all things, through all things and in spite of many things. My job is not to ‘right the world’, because only God can do that and only in His time. My focus today is to be given to joy, grow in my faith, be content in Christ, abide in fellowship with like-minded believers and chose to live in peace! As I choose to this and obey God, HIs love and peace will abound upon my life today! Focus on these things and my life will be made complete!

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Today, I choose to love You and obey You in all things. I choose to ignore all that the world has to offer that would lure me away from Your love and Your peace and would lure me away from total devotion to You. You alone are my Lord, my God and my satisfaction. May I take joy in serving You. May my day be so blessed as a result of following You! Thank You for the plans You have for me! By faith I receive Your blessings upon my life!!! Amen.
